Washington coach Jay Gruden has gotten his first look at his newest quarterback and has seen enough of Dwayne Haskins not to rule him out of the quarterback competition.Veteran Case Keenum is the favorite to start the season opener Dwayne Haskins Jersey , with Colt McCoy having undergone a third surgery on the ankle he broke last season. (Alex Smith‘s future is uncertain after having an external fixator placed on the right leg he broke in November.)Gruden declared it an open competition.“Yeah, for sure. We have to have that,” Gruden said in a news conference Saturday, two days into the team’s rookie minicamp. “I mean Case coming off of the most experience is great. Colt has the most experience with this terminology in this system, and Dwayne was the 15th pick in the draft. We’ll see what happens.”Haskins didn’t start right away at Ohio State. He had only 171 plays of experience on offense before last season when he set 28 Ohio State records and seven Big Ten records as he passed for 4,831 yards and 50 touchdowns.“I’ll be ready for whatever the coaches want for me, whether that’s starting right away or next year or during the season Wes Martin Jersey ,” Haskins said. “I’m just going to prepare like I’m the starter, and that’s with me in the weight room, me in the meeting rooms, me with the younger guys, me with the older guys. Every opportunity for me is an opportunity for me to showcase that I’m the guy.”Keenum finds himself the bridge quarterback for however long that is. Washington didn’t make Haskins the 15th overall choice to sit the bench for long.At the same time, Haskins has a lot to learn. Gruden cited the basics, including breaking the huddle Womens Bryce Love Jersey , saying Haskins is at “the very bare minimum” right now.“We’re going to go at it,” Gruden said. “Throw the ball out there let these guys compete really. I think he obviously displayed enough of a skillset to warrant the 15th pick in the draft and to give him an opportunity to see how far he can take this thing without a doubt. I’ve been impressed with the other quarterbacks that we have here. Case has done an excellent job from the little bit we’ve seen of him, and Colt’s obviously rehabbing. Josh [Woodrum] has done a good job as well. It’s a good group and competition will be there.”” WASHINGTON (AP) — Redskins safety Montae Nicholson was arrested early Tuesday morning and charged with assault and battery and being drunk in public stemming from a fight at a restaurant and retail complex near the team’s practice facility in Ashburn, Virginia.Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Kraig Troxell confirmed Nicholson’s arrest. He says Tuesday afternoon the 23-year-old had been recently released on $2,500 bond.Police say Nicholson and 24-year-old Sydney Maggiore were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated to a physical assault of two victims, one man and one woman.According to police, an investigation showed Nicholson assaulted the male victim https://www.theredskinslockerroom.com/authentic-terry-mclaurin-jersey , and Maggiore struck the female victim with a bottle and also struck the male victim.s wounding and assault and battery and remains in prison on no bond. According to police, the victims were treated at a hospital for serious but not life-threatening injuries.“We are aware of the arrest of Montae Nicholson,” team spokesman Tony Wyllie said. “We are gathering more information and will not comment until we have further details.”Nicholson’s agent did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment.A 2017 fourth-round pick out of Michigan State, Nicholson has played in all 14 of Washington’s games so far and is 10th on the team with 41 tackles. He started the first seven games of his second NFL season before moving to a backup role for the past seven after the Redskins traded for Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.

A look at the NFL's third decade Womens Terrell Edmunds Jersey , the 1940s:FRANCHISESThe NFL reached the West Coast for the first time when the defending champion Cleveland Rams moved to Los Angeles for the 1946 season. After stabilizing for the first time in the late 1930s, the league was mostly unchanged in its third decade except for adjustments made during World War II.The war led to more than 1,000 players interrupting or postponing their pro football careers. As a result, the 10-team league went down to eight for one season, in 1943. The Cleveland Rams suspended operations, while the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers merged for the season. The count went back to 10 in 1944 with the return of the Rams and the addition of the Boston Yanks, while the Steelers merged with the Chicago Cardinals just for that season. The combined team, called Card-Pitt, went 0-10.After the war, the NFL service roster, limited to men who played in league games, totaled 638. Of those, 21 died in action. Before the better-known AFL merger of 1970, the All-America Football Conference laid the foundation for what amounted to the NFL's first merger. The AAFC played the final four seasons of the 1940s Womens James Conner Jersey , with three of the seven remaining teams joining the NFL in 1950: the Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Colts.TOP TEAMSThe Chicago Bears won three of the first four championships, and were 11-0 when they lost the title game to the Washington Redskins the one year out of those four that they didn't win it all.The Philadelphia Eagles played in the last three championship games in the decade, winning the last two. That was after going 5-27-1 in the first three seasons of the 1940s.While the Redskins knocked off the unbeaten Bears for the 1942 championship, they lost in the title game three times. The New York Giants were 0-3 in championship games during the decade.TOP PLAYERS"Slingin'" Sammy Baugh, Washington's top draft choice in 1937, gets credit for being the NFL's first big-yardage passer. The former TCU star led the NFL in passing, punting and interceptions in 1943. Baugh led the NFL in passing six times and finished with 21,886 yards, 187 TDs, a 45.1-yard punting average and 31 interceptions.Baugh was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame's first class in 1963.Sid Luckman, the second overall pick by the Chicago Bears in 1939, created a rush of teams using the T-formation after leading the Bears to a 73-0 demolishing of Baugh and the Redskins in the 1940 championship game. The 1943 MVP threw for 14,686 yards and 137 touchdowns and made the Hall of Fame in 1965.When he retired after the 1945 season T. J. Watt Jersey White , Green Bay receiver Don Hutson had a record 488 catches. The next most at that time was 190. The "Alabama Antelope" had 99 career touchdown grabs, a record that stood for more than four decades. He went into the Hall of Fame with Baugh in '63.Bob Waterfield was the NFL MVP in 1945 as a rookie while leading the Cleveland Rams to the championship. Then the former UCLA player got to go home to California when the franchise moved to Los Angeles following that title season. Waterfield was a three-time All-Pro and led the league in passing twice. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame with Lukman in '65.Bill Dudley, drafted No. 1 overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1942, didn't really get his career going until after the war. In 1946, Dudley was the MVP while leading the league in rushing, interceptions, punt returns and lateral passes attempted. The former Virginia standout also played for Detroit and Washington. His Hall of Fame induction was in 1966.Steve Van Buren was a four-time NFL rushing champion for the Eagles while leading the league in punt returns as a rookie in 1944, and kickoff returns in 1945. The former LSU star was the first player with multiple 1,000-yard rushing seasons while finishing with 5,860 yards before retiring at 30 after eight seasons. He also went into the Hall of Fame in 1965.TOP COACHESGeorge Halas (HOF class of '63) left the Bears in midseason in 1942 to join the Navy, so Luke Johnsos and Heartley Anderson led the club for the rest of that 11-0 season before the title game loss, and for the next three years. After falling short of the title game the last two seasons with Johnsos and Anderson, the Bears won the championship again in 1946 when Halas returned.Ray Flaherty won two titles in seven seasons with the Redskins, leaving for the New York Yankees of the rival AAFC after the 1942 championship. He won at least 10 games the first two years with the Yankees but didn't finish the third season. After coaching the Chicago Hornets the final year of the AAFC Terrell Edmunds Jersey White , Flaherty didn't return to the NFL. He made the Hall of Fame in 1976.The 1940s were the only decade covered entirely by one coach for the Giants, part of Steve Owen's 23-year run with one of the NFL's storied franchises. His only three-year stretch without a winning season came at the end of the decade, but he led the Giants to the title game three times in a span of six seasons. He was a 1966 entrant into the Hall of Fame.MEMORABLE GAMESThe Bears' 73-0 rout of the Redskins for the 1940 championship remains the most lopsided game in NFL history. Remarkably, Harry Clarke was the only player to score more than one touchdown (he had two). The Redskins threw eight interceptions, three of them returned for TDs. It was the first championship carried on network radio, broadcast by Red Barber to 120 stations of the Mutual Broadcasting System, which paid $2,500 for the rights. The goal posts, which were at the goal line at the time, played a huge role when the Cleveland Rams beat the Redskins 15-14 in the 1945 championship game. With gusting wind and bitter cold in Cleveland, Sammy tried to throw from his end zone early in the game and hit the crossbar, leading to a safety for a 2-0 Rams lead. Cleveland scored a touchdown just before halftime, and Bob Waterfield's extra-point kick was partially blocked and landed on the crossbar, teetering there before dropping over for a 9-7 lead. That point ended up being the difference.GAME CHANGERSArt Rooney Womens JuJu Smith-Schuster Jersey , who founded the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1933, sold that franchise to Alexis Thompson in 1940 and bought part interest in the Philadelphia Eagles. Rooney and Bert Bell traded the Eagles to Thompson for the Pirates, and the Steelers were born. Rooney entered the Hall of Fame in 1964.In 1946, halfback Kenny Washington and end Woody Strode signed with the Los Angeles Rams to become the first blacks to play in the NFL in the modern era. Guard Bill Willis and running back Marion Motley joined the AAFC with the Cleveland Browns. Willis and Motley both eventually played in the NFL and were voted to the all-decade team. Motley, who played at South Carolina State and Nevada, led the NFL in rushing in 1950 and entered the Hall of Fame in 1968, while Willis was inducted in 1977.In 1948, halfback Fred Gehrke of the Los Angeles Rams painted horns on the Rams' helmets, the first modern helmet emblems in pro football.FUN FACTSThe merged Philadelphia-Pittsburgh team of 1943 was called the Steagles by fans. Home games were divided between the cities. ... In 1949, the NFL had two 1,000-yard rushers in the same season for the first time: Van Buren and Green Bay's Tony Canadeo(HOF class of 1974). ... The 1972 Miami Dolphins are recognized as the only undefeated team in NFL history. Two years before joining the NFL, the Cleveland Browns went 15-0 in the AAFC. While the NFL recognizes records of the old AFL (American Football League), it doesn't include AAFC marks. While the Pittsburgh Steelers injury report was mostly positive on Thursday, it seems there is still one key name to worry about with just one day of practice remaining before the game against the Cleveland Browns. Marcus Gilbert missed his second consecutive day of training with a knee injury and his status for Sunday is looking increasingly doubtful. If he cannot take part in practice on Friday Womens T. J. Watt Jersey , it should be expected that Matt Feiler would play in his place against Cleveland. After Maurkice Pouncey was the beneficiary of his customary veteran rest day on Wednesday, it was the turn of Ramon Foster to take his on Thursday. Meanwhile, back-to-back days as full participants in training for Morgan Burnett and L.J. Fort was an encouraging sign that both could suit up in Week 8. For the safety who has barely been able to workout since Week 2, just being healthy enough to practice fully for two days in a row was a blessing, as he told Teresa Varley of Steelers.com. f Darrius Heyward-Bey and Xavier Grimble after they were both limited the day before. With Grimble seemingly recovering quickly from a suspected concussion, the reserve tight end has a good chance of playing this weekend. For Heyward-Bey, the bye-week could not have come at a better time, and if all goes well, he might not miss his third game of the season in Week 8 after all. By comparison, Cleveland’s injury report looked a little bit more extensive on Thursday, with current starting cornerback E.J. Gaines among the more notable names struggling to be ready in time to face the Steelers.

As we all know https://www.raiderslockerroom.com/authentic-derek-carr-jersey , the Raiders have three first-round picks in this April’s NFL Draft. The latter two were acquired via trade, but the Raiders’ abysmal 4-12 record secured them the fourth overall pick. The team has plenty of holes to fill on both sides of the ball and Pick #4 brings with it a variety of options to help fill those holes.Of course, much of this depends on where the Raiders decide to focus in free agency, and who they can get to sign with them. If they can get, say, JaDeveon Clowney, then edge rusher becomes less of a priority. The Raiders have lots of money to spend, and their impending move to Las Vegas could be attractive to free agents. But for this list, let’s assume free agency does not exist. How do the various options in this draft stack up?1) Edge RusherThe Raiders traded the best edge rusher in football before the 2018 season, but there are plenty of DE/OLB guys in this draft who could help fill that role and not cost a hundred million dollars. Nick Bosa of Ohio State is the best prospect, but he has had a concerning injury history. Despite that, he’s routinely been mocked to the Cardinals with the top overall selection. His Combine performance and medical report will have a lot to do with how much of a risk he’s perceived to be. Bosa clearly has the bloodline, with brother Joey already a star for the Chargers.Josh Allen, a DE/OLB for the Kentucky Wildcats, is also one of the top guys on the board. He’s the guy who most resembles Khalil Mack with his ability to force turnovers and stop the run and pass equally well. He can also drop back in coverage and has some skills in that regard. Also an option is Clemson DE Clelin Ferrell, who was instrumental in the Tigers’ victory over Alabama in the college football championship game and was a monster all season long. Rashan Gary of Michigan is a physical freak, but wasn’t extremely productive in college. Pairing him with former teammate Maurice Hurst could be an intriguing option for the Raiders.2) Interior DefenderThere are plenty of options here as well. This draft is stacked with quality defensive tackles. Quinnen Williams is the top DT on the board, and some consider him the best player available in the entire draft. He dominated interior offensive linemen all season long and is a physical marvel. Louisville’s Ed Oliver was at one time considered the top player available, but he fell down mock draft boards as the season went on due to some lingering health concerns. Still, he can take on double and triple teams and make an impact.Mississippi State’s Jeffrey Simmons has been climbing draft boards lately, and at 6’4” and 300 pounds he has the ability to disrupt plays in the backfield with his superlative size and speed. I’ve seen him mocked to the Raiders at number 4.3) Trade DownThe nightmare scenario is this, and frankly I think it’s exactly what’s going to happen. Bosa goes first to the Cardinals, Williams goes to the 49ers, and Josh Allen goes to the Jets. What do the Raiders do then? Take an edge guy or a DT who is a reach? Luckily for the Silver and Black, there are several intriguing quarterback options on the board that teams might want to move up for. Kyler Murray, Dwayne Haskins, and Drew Lock are the top guys in what is probably a fairly weak quarterback class. The top four teams in the draft don’t need a QB (unless you are totally off the Derek Carr train), but there are plenty of teams drafting later who do. The Dolphins, Broncos, Giants, Jaguars, and Indigenous Persons could all do with an upgrade. There are only so many blue-chip QB prospects to go around, and someone’s going to want their guy. When Heisman winner Murray eschewed baseball, it threw everything into flux. So, say the Raiders trade down a few spots. They can still get a quality edge rusher like Ferrell or Gary at a much better spot and also pick up a few picks for their trouble. Remember what the Chiefs paid for Patrick Mahomes, and what the Bears paid for Mitch Trubisky. The Broncos are said to be in love with Drew Lock, what if they’re scared of not getting him and being stuck with Case Keenum for another season? What if the Dolphins really want Murray? What if the Jaguars think Haskins is going to the Giants, and want to prevent that from happening? Hell, what if the Buccaneers decide they’re through with Jameis Winston? Even in their nightmare scenario, the Raiders are still in the driver’s seat.4) LinebackerAnd by linebacker, I mean Devin White. I would not be shocked in the least if White comes out and blows away the Combine with his size Derek Carr Jersey White , speed and instincts. He’s been compared to some of the best linebackers ever, and if the Raiders think he’s the next Ray Lewis then by all means they should take him at fourth overall. It’s not like the team has a long-term answer at middle linebacker.White won’t help the team with edge rushing, but he can be the team’s anchor for a decade as a stopper in the middle. This pick would be far more palatable if the Raiders sign a good defensive end or two in free agency, and also CJ Mosley from the Ravens. Let’s hope the Raiders spend wisely and get their guys on the open market so they are free to be flexible come Draft Day.So, what would you like to see the Raiders do at the fourth pick? KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Patrick Mahomes awoke early on Tuesday to open presents with his little sister and the rest of his family, then the Chiefs quarterback hopped in his car for a quick trip to Arrowhead Stadium.Where he watched film. On Christmas. He got in his usual couple of hours of game-week prep on what is typically a day off for NFL teams, then hopped back in his car and headed home for the family feast. Then he watched more film. Still on Christmas. It’s that dedication to Mahomes’ craft that has helped the second-year pro become an MVP candidate as a first-time starter. He already has shattered numerous franchise records, including yards passing and TD passes in a single season, and Mahomes has positioned Kansas City for a third straight AFC West title and the No. 1 seed in the playoffs with a victory Sunday over Oakland. The biggest wild card for the Chiefs entering the season has become their one constant.“It’s the process. You set up the schedule for a reason,” Mahomes said Wednesday, when the rest of the Chiefs returned to practice.“You follow the same schedule — game plan, watch film, practice — and you do the same things you’ve been doing to have success.”At this point, why would Mahomes deviate from his routine? He’s thrown 48 touchdown passes to lead the NFL by a dozen, and his 4,816 yards passing trail only Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. He leads the league in yards per attempt among QBs that have started all season, and only the Saints’ Drew Brees has a better quarterback rating.Speaking of ratings, Mahomes only has had three games in which his rating has failed to reach 100, and the Chiefs still won all of those games. He’s thrown a TD pass in every game except one, and that was a 30-14 rout of Jacksonville. And he’s thrown at least three touchdown passes in 10 games, with a pair of six-touchdown efforts in shootouts against the Patriots and Rams.“You just trust the process,” Mahomes said in explaining his unflappable nature. “Trust that your teammates are going to make the big plays they’ve made all year, and trust in my ability not to do too much. You just play the same game you’ve played all year.”Or the same game he’s played his whole life.Few were convinced that Mahomes would seamlessly transition from the Air Raid system of Texas Tech to the versatile, complex West Coast offense of Andy Reid. But the Chiefs coach saw enough of him last season in practice that Reid was willing to trade away Alex Smith and give him a shot. Now, the Chiefs are promoting Mahomes in MVP hype videos as they barrel toward the playoffs.“I am happy for all these guys, whatever accolades they get,” Reid said. “Patrick has worked hard for all of that stuff. There are a lot of great players in this league, so all the sudden you get pointed out as doing that, it’s important. Then it’s important to get back to what is real and that’s the game. But I am happy for him. A lot of work went into that for him.”Right, the game. The one that Mahomes was in the film room prepping for on Christmas, while the rest of his family was relaxing at home. The Chiefs have already squandered two chances to lock up the division title, and they could fall all the way to the No. 5 seed with a loss Sunday. So it makes sense that Mahomes was cramming for the Raiders on Tuesday.Even if it didn’t mean straying from the norm.“Everybody is excited for the opportunity,” Mahomes said, “getting to play a division opponent, a rival in our division, then get to play at Arrowhead Stadium. We want to stay here from here on out. If we come out and play like we know we can, we can make a run at this thing.”Notes: RG Laurent Duvernay-Tardif returned to practice for the first time since breaking his fibula and tearing ligaments in Week 5 against Jacksonville. -Tardif can get up to speed. “We’ll just bring him back gradually,” Reid said. “It’s just a matter of getting caught up with the speed of the game.” … Reid said WR Sammy Watkins was out of a walking boot and “moving around,” though his return remains uncertain. He hasn’t played a full game since early November.

The Denver Broncos are getting healthier each week Womens Bradley Chubb Jersey , but the wins continue to elude them at this point. The good news in Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts is they should have offensive tackle Ja’Wuan James back in the mix after being out since ten snaps in their first game of the season. Head Coach Vic Fangio has him labeled as questionable, but thinks he’ll get some playing time this week. Just don’t expect a full snap count just yet for James. “Questionable, but I think it’s leaning towards that he’ll be able to make it,” Fangio said of James. “We’ll play it by ear. I’d hate to say one way or the other. I wouldn’t think he’d play the whole game, but we’ll see.”If there was ever a time to win a game, it would be this big one on the road against a legitimate playoff contender. Seems like the popular pick...for now."NFL Network’s lead draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah released his final mock draft prior to tomorrow night’s first-round of the 2019 NFL Draft and has the Broncos selecting Michigan linebacker, Devin Bush. Here is what Jeremiah had to say about his Bush selection to the Broncos. This has quickly become a popular pick for the Broncos in the recent days and Jeremiah continues that trend here. This pick would make a ton of sense for the Broncos. The inside linebacker position is arguably one of, if not the most important positions on his defense. had elite inside linebackers, or made major investments at linebacker during his first year there. For example, during his first few seasons with Chicago, they went out and signed former Broncos linebacker Danny Trevathan and Jerrell Freeman. They also went out and spent the 8th overall selection on Georgia linebacker Bradley Chubb Broncos Jersey , Roquan Smith in last year’s draft. So a team with Vic Fangio spending premium picks and money on inside linebacker is nothing new.Bush is incredibly athletic and fits the mold of a new-age linebacker. He’s explosive in space and has the agility and loose hips able to cover running backs and tight ends in space as well. He is exactly what Denver needs and has been lacking in recent years. I think a trade back could be in the cards, but if not, Bush seems like the popular pick for the Broncos currently.

Jacksonville Jaguars All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey was unusually quiet Thursday Dwayne Haskins Jersey White , three days before one of the most anticipated matchups of his NFL career. He was humble. He was focused. He was more of a team player than a look-at-me guy.He seemed somewhat out of character. But the Jaguars probably liked it after weeks of unrest surrounding their star defensive back.Ramsey screamed profanities at media members during training camp, got suspended for a week and then created a stir by calling out several quarterbacks in one interview and blasted a few more players in another .With the season opener against the New York Giants and receiver standout Odell Beckham Jr. looming, Ramsey clammed up."Looking forward to it," said Ramsey, who was added to the injury report because of ankle soreness. "Looking forward to beginning the whole season with the whole team. A lot of people are going to try to make it about me and (Beckham) specifically. That's not what it's about. Football is a team game. There's going to be 11 guys out there for us, 11 guys out there for them. We're going to have to come together and do what we've got to do to try to get a win."It wasn't what anyone expected from the outspoken Ramsey.Beckham insisted Wednesday that Ramsey won't get under his skin and there won't be a repeat of his fight with cornerback Josh Norman in 2016. The three-time All-Pro said he won't take Ramsey's bait.Asked whether that's easier said than done, Ramsey declined to offer much."I don't know," he said. "Again, it's not about me. It's about the team."Ramsey downplayed his ability to talk trash, even though he got into a public spat with now-retired NFL receiver Steve Smith in 2016 and upset Cincinnati receiver A.J. Green so much that Green grabbed Ramsey around the neck and slammed him to the ground last year."My play is what really gets people talking Dwayne Haskins Jersey , to be honest with you, and that's just extra on top," Ramsey said. "I'm going to be me. I don't think that's something that we need to continue to talk about week in and week in. I'm going to me."Ramsey did acknowledge that he's fine with playing the role of villain."What people who don't know me think about me doesn't affect me, how I live my life, how I go about being who I am," said Ramsey, who became a father for the first time in late July. "I'm not going to change because somebody doesn't like me. There's a bunch or more people in the world."Many of them will tune in Sunday to watch Ramsey line up across from Beckham, who signed a $95 million extension that made him the highest-paid receiver in the league."I think anytime you get two guys like that, that are as big of stars as they are, everybody wants to watch it Wes Martin Jersey ," Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles said. "We'll get our corrections made (on the sideline) and make sure everything's set offensively for the next series and peek up there as much as possible to see what's going on with them. I know they'll both be ready and fired up. It'll be fun to watch."Ramsey surely will have a different demeanor once the game starts. And if he shuts down Beckham, he probably will be even more boisterous. After all, this is the same guy who made it clear two weeks ago that he was "unapologetic" about anything he said about other NFL players. He also opened camp talking about facing Beckham in the opener."Let's get this out the way right now," Ramsey said in late July after reporting to camp a few days late . "He is a good receiver. We all know that. But you all know me at the same time. Yeah, he's good. But I'm good, too. If you want to say he's the best at his position, I'm the best at my position, so we are going to go at it. We are going to give the people a show the first game of the season."He is going to have some wins. I am going to have some wins. I just plan on having more wins. That is the plan I am going to go in there with. ... That is what you all asked for as fans of the game, as (fans of) the NFL, everybody. That is what you all asked for. We are going to give it to you Womens Bryce Love Jersey , for sure. I know I am." Shocker"Least shocking news of the day award goes to JP Finlay's report that the Redskins will not be picking up WR. The option would have cost the Redskins $10.162 million next year, and would have been fully guaranteed for injury. Doctson's had a rough start to his NFL career, and hasn't shown the Redskins enough on the field for them to commit to him next year. His injury history makes him a risk to invest that much money in past his rookie deal. Everyone has been waiting for Doctson to prove his draft status, and he will have to step up this year if he wants to get paid in 2020.Doctson's first year was lost to mysterious Achilles injuries. He started 26 games over the last two seasons. Doctson is averaging 40 receptions a year for 517 yards and 4 TDs. He hasn't become the WR the Redskins projected when they drafted him at #22 in 2016.The Redskins just drafted a franchise QB in Dwayne Haskins, and gave him two new receivers in Terry McLaurin and Kelvin Harmon. They also lost Jamison Crowder to the Jets in free agency. Doctson still has a place on the roster this year, but beyond that is much less likely.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers can’t avoid questions about Jameis Winston’s return much longer. The young quarterback’s three-game suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy ended after Monday night’s 30-27 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. All teams have issues Womens James Conner Jersey , and there’s different things going on. But I think it was made a bigger issue than it really was.”FLAGS, FLAGS, FLAGSThe teams combined for five roughing-the-passer penalties, most in an NFL game since 2001, as fans around the league continue to gripe about flags being thrown for what appear to be routine tackles. Pittsburgh was flagged three times for hits on Fitzpatrick, and the Bucs were called twice for roughing Roethlisberger. In all, the Steelers were penalized 13 times for 155 yards. Tampa Bay had nine penalties for 80 yards. The Bucs also had a holding penalty that wiped out what would have been an 80-yard punt return for a TD by DeSean Jackson.“I thought the penalties kind of marred the game. There were a lot of penalties on us and on them,” Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said. “We’ll look at it and learn from it, but I thought the guys played extremely hard.”COMEBACKTampa Bay made it close by keeping Roethlisberger and Pittsburgh’s high-powered offense on the sideline for long stretches of the second half. Fitzpatrick led a long field goal drive that consumed nearly eight minutes of the third quarter. The Steelers used most of the remainder of the period to move into position for a 47-yard field goal that Chris Boswell missed. The Bucs used TD catches by Chris Godwin and Mike Evans to pull within 30-27. They got the ball back with just over three minutes left, but the Steelers defense forced a punt and Roethlisberger ran out the clock.“I thought our defense played awesome, creating turnovers, short field, making some stops T. J. Watt Jersey White ,” Roethlisberger said. “I told this team afterwards that was a total team win, all the phases. But thanks to the way the draft has unfolded so far, there are still plenty of talented options left on the board as the Steelers get ready for day two of the 2019 NFL Draft. After sending their second-round pick to the Denver Broncos as part of the trade that netted them Bush, Pittsburgh is currently set to have just two selections on Friday, both coming in round-three. However, given some of the names surprisingly still available, a move back up into round two should not be completely discounted.Cornerbacks Byron Murphy and Greedy Williams were the top two players at the position according to most experts ahead of the draft, but both still remain on the board at the start of day two. Temple cornerback Rock Ya-Sin is also still waiting to be drafted, a prospect many projected to the Steelers in round one.If Pittsburgh is looking to add a wide receiver, the favorite to be the first wideout taken with the bookmakers has yet to hear his name called in D.K. Metcalf, as does Nasir Adderley Terrell Edmunds Jersey White , a popular choice with some sportsbooks to be the first safety drafted. Washington safety Taylor Rapp and Florida safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson are two more players who received some first-round hype now destined to go in the second-round or later as well.Perhaps of little interest to the Steelers, but quarterback Drew Lock is still looking for a home and Oklahoma offensive tackle Cody Ford is also something of a surprise inclusion on the list on the availables as we head into day two. Michigan edge rusher Chase Winovich is still out there for in the Steel City this year, although it seems unlikely he will last all the way until the Steelers first pick in round three. Just hours after reports said the Raiders were set to speak with former NFL executive Ryan Grigson https://www.raiderslockerroom.com/authentic-antonio-brown-jersey , Pro Football Talk is now citing sources as saying it’s a ‘done deal’.We don’t know in what capacity Grigson would serve with the Raiders. It could be as little as a consultant as he was for the Seahawks last year or as much as Mike Mayock’s top assistant, replacing former Director of Player Personnel Joey Clinkscales.Despite the Colts going 11-5 in each of Grigson’s first three seasons as General Manager, he is highly criticized for his run as GM including trading a first round pick for Browns bust RB Trent Richardson (remember him?), blowing a first round pick on WR Phillip Dorsett despite a glaring need on the offensive line to protect Andrew Luck and a purported lack of people skills rubbing some people and players the wrong way. His track record had some Colts fans are waving the red flag to Raiders fans.Even the mention of the Raiders speaking to Grigson made the hair on a lot of Raiders fans necks raise. One other fan had a fairly good question. It’s a good question because should he be hired to just a consultant role as he was in Seattle, it shouldn’t really move the needle. He must have done something right prior to his years with the Colts to work his way up in the Eagles organization to as high as Director of Player Personnel. Oakland Raiders cornerback Gareon Conley was strapped to a backboard and carted off the field after taking a shot to the top of his head in the third quarter of Monday night’s game against the Denver Broncos.Conley was trying to wrestle Broncos running back Royce Freeman to the ground when teammate Jonathan Abram hit Freeman out-of-bounds. In the collision Royce Freeman Jersey , Abram spun around and his left thigh careened into the top of Conley’s head.Conley remained stationary on the ground as he was tended to by medical staff. They removed the facemask from his helmet and immobilized him to protect against any further injury before loading him onto a cart and taking him from the field. Conley did raise a thumb in the air as the cart began its departure from the playing surface. The concern over such a collision would be related to any possible neck or spinal cord damage. Hopefully the safety measures prove to be precautionary only and Conley comes away from the collision healthy. The Jacksonville Jaguars received the ball first to open up the second half. From there, they attempted to get the running game going. Leonard Fournette was stuffed in the backfield, but the defense seemed to give up and he bounced back inside for a 13-yard gain. He backed that up with an eight yard gain and another five yard gain to push the Jaguars into Denver Broncos territory. A short run and a holding penalty later, the Jaguars were in a second and 18 situation. Duke Dawson Jr. broke up the next pass to Dede Westbrook, but an illegal hands to the face penalty by Bradley Chubb gave the Jaguars a first down.Gradner Minshew followed up a five yard gain by Fournette with a quick toss to Westbrook for another first down at the Broncos 39-yard line. After an incompletion deep, DeMarcus Walker got in on the sack party to take down Minshew at the Broncos 44-yard line. Minshew somehow dodged another sack and bought enough time to find an open wide receiver for the first down in field goal range at the Broncos 25-yard line for their first third down conversion of the game. Two runs by Fournette gained nine yards, where he was stuffed at the line for a short gain right at the sticks. They were short, but the Jaguars were committed to this drive in a do or die kind of way. Fournette was able to skirt past a defender to slide inside for the first down. From the Broncos 13-yard line, the Jaguars kept things on the ground with Fournette John Elway Jersey , who gained a few yards on first down. He would carry again for another couple of yards on second down. On third and 5, Minshew some how escaped multiple sack attempts to find a wide open receiver in the end zone for the decisive touchdown. Broncos 17, Broncos 13.The Jaguars offense held the ball for the first 10:24 seconds of the third quarter.Joe Flacco and the Broncos offense got the ball on their own 20 to start their next drive, but after a no gain on first down by Phillip Lindsay and a short pass over the top to Noah Fant setup a third and five. Flacco threw it away on third down for an untimely three and out.in favor of the Jaguars when they took over at their own seven yard line. Fournette broke through the line, despite Von Miller being held, for an 81 yard gain. Minshew sold the fake hard and found his tight end over the middle for the touchdown and the lead late in the third quarter.Jaguars 20, Broncos 17.The Broncos next drive ended the quarter near midfield with another punt. All momentum lost for Denver.

Washington answered one question about the future of their franchise on Monday morning when they fired head coach Jay Gruden and replaced him with interim head coach Bill Callahan. One of the questions that the team will now face is when it is time to turn the offense over to quarterback Dwayne Haskins. The first-round pick played against the Giants in Week Four Dwayne Haskins Jersey White , but Gruden opted to start Colt McCoy against the Patriots in Sunday’s 33-7 loss. There have been reports that Gruden was not on board with the decision to draft Haskins, but team president Bruce Allen said at a Monday press conference that Gruden was excited about having Haskins in the fold. Allen also said that Callahan will make the call on starting Haskins on his own.“It’ll be up to Coach Callahan who plays at any position,” Allen said.Washington will be in Miami in Week Six and we’ll see if Callahan decides to go right to the rookie in hopes of getting a win against one of the teams that ranks alongside Washington at the bottom of the NFL barrel in 2019. Washington senior V.P. of player personnel Doug Williams likes what he’s seen from rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins. But it won’t be Williams who decides when and if Haskins will start. The decision apparently won’t be made by any one person.“[A]t the end of the day, it’s going to be on [coach] Jay [Gruden], myself, probably [team president] Bruce [Allen] and the owner Dwayne Haskins Jersey , after what [Haskins] does during the preseason and see where we are as a team to make that decision,” Williams recently told Steve Wyche of NFL Network.Which could make the decision less about winning now (which Gruden would likely prefer) and more about developing Haskins.Former Washington quarterback Joe Theismann has cautioned against throwing Haskins into the fray given the difficulty of the team’s early-season schedule. The other view would be this: It’s sink or swim now, or it’s sink or swim later. At some point Wes Martin Jersey , every NFL quarterback has to show that he can succeed.Besides, why not face teams with tougher defenses before all defenses have enough film to figure out a new quarterback’s tendencies, tells, strengths, and weaknesses? It’s arguably better to confront those teams before they can properly break Haskins down.Bottom line — if Haskins is a keeper, he’ll likely keep his wits about him while facing good teams as a rookie. If he can’t Womens Bryce Love Jersey , then maybe he’s not the answer. If he’s not the answer, it’s better to know that soon then later.

Melvin Gordon would likely be continuing his holdout if the Los Angeles Chargers had gotten off to a 3-0 start. But with the Bolts on a two-game losing streak after winning their opener T. J. Watt Jersey , the running back decided this week was the best time to report."We're 1-2. You don't want to get into a big hole," Gordon said after Friday's practice. "You work the whole offseason to be in a good position to make the playoffs. I had to come back at some point. I want to come back and help contribute. When we lost again (last Sunday to Houston) I wasn't feeling this at all. These guys did nothing to me."Gordon's return might not have come at a better time. The Chargers are hampered by injuries going into Sunday's game at Miami.Coach Anthony Lynn is hoping he doesn't have to use Gordon this week, but he might not have any choice. Running back Justin Jackson, who was averaging 20 plays per game during Gordon's holdout, will not play after suffering a calf injury Thursday. Gordon is on a two-week roster exemption but could be activated after Saturday's practice. If Gordon doesn't play, the Chargers would likely sign Detrez Newsome from the practice squad.Lynn said Gordon's fitness level looks great, but that the past couple of days have been spent on the finer points such as position alignment."We really had to drill those today and try to get him back into shape mentally for the position," Lynn said. "He hasn't made a cut and had to break a tackle. We tried to put him through the gauntlet in practice to simulate hitting. It's still not real football. Ideally, you don't want to play the guy this week."Gordon held out because he was seeking a contract of $13 million to $14.4 million per season Jerome Bettis Jersey White , which was equivalent to deals signed by Todd Gurley, David Johnson and Le'Veon Bell. The Chargers offered around $10 million per year before suspending negotiations prior to the start of the regular season. His base salary for this season is $5.6 million under the fifth-year option of his rookie contract. Gordon was subject to $1.2 million worth of fines along with losing $988,236 for missing the first three games, but he said the team cut the fines in half.Gordon said he understood the consequences of sitting out and that he was the reason he held out despite his agents advising him to come in."Nothing came out of it, so I try not to think about it," he said. "Obviously, there is no contract, so it's obviously something I don't want to speak on. ... To think the fines would be completely washed away, I knew if I got in this situation James Conner Jersey White , it wouldn't be. You do something against the rules, you pay the consequences."Gordon also said he talked to general manager Tom Telesco throughout the process and that his relationship with the front office remains good."I don't think the bridges are burned, we just had some differences," Gordon said. "He (Telesco) let it be known he wanted me back. He had no problems and understood from a player's perspective."Gordon has gained over 1,200 yards from scrimmage and scored 10 or more touchdowns in three straight seasons but has had his struggles against Miami. He is averaging only 2.6 yards per carry and has one touchdown in three games against the Dolphins.NOTES: Wide receiver Mike Williams (back), tight ends Virgil Green (groin) and Hunter Henry (knee) and kicker Michael Badgley (groin) are out for Sunday's game while wide receiver Travis Benjamin (hip) is doubtful. The Steelers drafted linebacker Devin Bush to be a leader, and he’s already leading.Via Gerry Dulac of the , the tenth overall pick already has asserted himself, during the first practice of his career.“I just wanted to be vocal the best I could and trust what I see Womens Jerome Bettis Jersey , whether I was right or wrong,” Bush said, according to Dulac. “I know concepts already, I just got to learn the language — different things they call, different things they speak. I just got to get familiar with the playbook, get familiar with the language and get confident in my playcalling.”Fellow rookie Justin Layne noticed Bush’s abilities immediately.“He’s a great leader, very vocal,” Layne said, per Dulac. “You can tell. He was calling the right defenses and everything. He knows what’s going on.”Bush wanted to wear No. 10 Jerome Bettis Jersey , but since linebackers can’t wear numbers like 10 he went with 55, explaining that five plus five is 10. (Hang on a second. OK, confirmed.) But the number doesn’t matter nearly as much as the colors.“Now I’m a part of the Steelers organization,” Bush said. “I’m a Steeler. I’m very grateful to be in this position right now.”The Steelers are grateful to have him. They last traded up for a defensive player in 2003, and Troy Polamalu became the heart and soul of the defense through a pair of Super Bowl wins.

Attorney for Colin Kaepernick says two teams interested in his client Womens Bo Jackson Jersey , drops hint that suggests Raiders could be one of them This could all be smoke. Let’s just get that out the way right off the top. Colin Kaepernick’s attorney Mark Geragos was cornered by a TMZ reporter Wednesday and peppered with questions about his client including his NFL future. As many of you are aware, Kaepernick last played an NFL game in 2016 and has not received interest from any NFL clubs because the former NFC Champion QB chose to take a knee duringthe playing of the National Anthem to protest police brutality and racial profiling in the justice system. That protest led to other NFL players kneeling as well, including former Pro Bowl teammate Eric Reid who is also now unable to find work at the age of 26.Nike recently revealed they have had Kaepernick under contract throughout his banishment from the NFL ranks and he is now the face of the brand’s ‘Just Do It’ campaign. Within a week, Nike stock surged to record highs and their online sales were up over 30 percent. Those numbers could reveal that Kaepernick may not be the financially damaging presence many in the NFL had feared.TMZ had video of Mark Davis enthusiastically saying that Nike teaming up with Kap was “Absolutely” a good idea, adding “Why not?”Could the realization that Kaepernick may not be bad for business open the door for a return to the NFL? And could that team be the Raiders? The attorney for the Turlock California native is hinting that it could. “I’ll say this ... if Al Davis was still alive,” said Geragos. As we know, Al Davis never shied away from signing controversial players if he thought they could come in and help the team. The idea of a player being a “distraction”, as many fans like to claim of Kaepernick, was not one Al subscribed to. It’s an odd statement by Geragos, honestly. I mean, if he were saying the Raider WOULD be interested if Al Davis were alive, why would he be hinting that when asked about which teams are interested? TMZ said Geragos also hinted Robert Kraft could also be interested, which would suggest the other team is the Patriots. He also pointed out that he was wrong a year ago when he predicted Kaepernick would be signed, so take this for what it’s worth.Follow @LeviDamien Patriots receiver Antonio Brown practiced with the team for the first time on Wednesday, a day after his former trainer filed a civil lawsuit in Florida accusing him of sexually assaulting her on three occasions. Before the practice session, coach Bill Belichick declined to answer numerous questions about Brown, including his status for Sunday's game at Miami. He deferred to the Patriots' statement late Tuesday in which they said they were aware of the lawsuit and "take these allegations very seriously.""Antonio and his representatives have made statements Bo Jackson Jersey , so I'm not going to be expanding on any of those," Belichick said. "They are what they are. We've looked into the situation. We're taking it very seriously all the way through the organization. I'm sure there are questions, but I'm not going to enter into the discussion about that."Brown has denied the allegations. Darren Heitner, a lawyer representing Brown, told The Associated Press his client plans to countersue. The NFL has declined to comment but will be opening an investigation into the matter.Belichick was asked specifically about the possibility of Brown being placed on the commissioner's exempt list by Roger Goodell. That special designation, which is used at the discretion of Goodell to allow the league to conduct investigations into possible violations of the league's personal conduct policy, would prevent Brown from practicing or attending games while on the list.Brown would, however, be eligible to continue being paid on the one-year deal he signed Monday with the Patriots that could pay him $15 million this season."We're preparing for one day at a time," Belichick said.In the less than five-minute portion of practice open to the media, Brown wore a No. 1 jersey and a visor with his helmet while going through warmup drills with teammates. Brown has worn No. 84 throughout his previous nine NFL seasons, but that number is currently being worn by Patriots tight end Ben Watson.Brown wasn't present in the locker room during the 45-minute period open to reporters. His locker, which is situated two stalls away from quarterback Tom Brady, had both doors shut.Brady declined to comment on Brown's civil case or on a report that Brown was currently staying at Brady's house while he gets settled in New England."I'm just trying to show up and play football and try to prepare (for the Dolphins)," Brady said. "I'm gonna get ready for them and things that don't involve me don't involve me."Safety Devin McCourty, in his 10th season in New England, said the Patriots teams he's been on have generally done a good job of blocking out distractions. Though he acknowledged Brown's situation is unique.McCourty said the players realize how serious the allegations are against Brown."But I think from a football standpoint we've got to be prepared to go out there and play against the Dolphins on Sunday because that's what our job calls on us to do https://www.raiderslockerroom.com/authentic-antonio-brown-jersey ," he said.McCourty said it's still too early to know what kind of teammate Brown will be."He's going through a personal situation and none of us really know him yet," McCourty said. "We're just starting to get to know guys. I think that's what you build on, just trying to get to know guys that come in here. ... I think that's all part of getting new teammates, to get to know them for yourself and not judging them on what's happened on other teams or different things, but just trying to get to know guys."n the offseason. But a bizarre foot injury, fights with the NFL over his helmet, skipping practices, multiple fines, a run-in with Raiders general manager Mike Mayock and his social media posts ultimately led to the decision to release him.He agreed to a deal with the defending Super Bowl champions hours after the Raiders granted his request and let him go.Notes: The Patriots signed free agent offensive lineman Marshall Newhouse to the 53-man roster on Wednesday. Newhouse, an eight-year veteran who had previous stints with the Packers, Bengals, Giants, Raiders, Bills and Panthers adds some depth to the line following the shoulder injury to starting right tackle Marcus Cannon in last week's win over Pittsburgh. ... Cannon, RB Brandon Bolden (hamstring) and TE Matt LaCosse (ankle) were all limited participants during Wednesday's practice.

A strong showing in the AAF with the San Antonio Commanders led the Denver Broncos to sign cornerback De’Vante Bausby earlier this offseason after the short-lived league went defunct.Broncos head coach Vic Fangio has familiarity with Bausby as well as he played under Fangio for parts of two seasons in 2015 and 2016 while Fangio was the Bears defensive coordinator. But that familiarity didn’t keep Fangio from delivering a verbal kick-to-the-backside to Bausby on Monday.Via Nick Jhabvala of TheAthletic.com Womens John Elway Jersey , Fangio said he wants to see more out of Bausby on the field.“I think there’s been a time or two in Phase 2 where he’s let the back-to-back season, albeit shortened, give him a reason to think he’s tired, too Bradley Chubb Broncos Jersey , where he shouldn’t do that,” head coach Vic Fangio said, per The Athletic’s Nicki Jhabvala. “He’s got to overcome that. He’s got to overcome being his own worst enemy and show the player that he can be.”Bausby had a league-high four interceptions in eight games played for the Commanders before the league collapsed. And even though current workouts are expressly “voluntary,” they are less so for players at the back-end of offseason rosters trying to make an impression. Even if Bausby is a bit worn down from the two months of football he played earlier this spring Von Miller Jersey White , Fangio doesn’t appear to have much patience for it as he tries to make his own mark on the Broncos.Bausby has spent time with the Bears, Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles since entering the league as an undrafted free agent signing with the Chiefs out of Pittsburg State in 2015. He played four games with the Bears in 2016 and six with the Eagles in 2018. Flacco’s contract calls for him to make $18.5 million during the 2019 season and his salaries for 2020 and 2021 are $20.25 million and $24.25 million. Those will also be Flacco’s cap hits for those seasons and none of the salaries are guaranteed Royce Freeman Jersey , so the Broncos can move on from Flacco without any dead money left over although they’d prefer it if Flacco plays well enough to justify that cost. The Broncos also have Case Keenum on the books with a $21 million cap number and $7 million in guaranteed money for 2019. Moving on from him would leave $10 million in dead money, but there’s no commitment to Keenum in 2020 or beyond.

Steve Spurrier admits he did a “lousy job” in his two seasons in Washington Womens Bryce Love Jersey , but the ball coach also said owner Daniel Snyder did a “lousy job.”Spurrier went 12-20 in his two seasons in Washington after signing a five-year, $25 million contract in 2002 that made him the highest-paid coach in league history at the time.“I did a lousy job,” Spurrier told the . “The G.M. did a lousy job. He happened to be the owner, so who needed to go?”Spurrier disagreed with Snyder who “picked the quarterback” in reference to Patrick Ramsey. Ramsey completed 52.5 percent of his passes for 3,705 yards, 23 touchdowns and 17 interceptions in his two seasons under Spurrier. Ramsey played four seasons in Washington and went 10-14 as the team’s starter.Spurrier, now the head coach of the Orlando Apollos of the Alliance of American Football, coached South Carolina after leaving Washington.“Leaving the Redskins was a good thing,” Spurrier said, “because I got the chance to go to South Carolina and become the winningest coach in school history. You knew that, didn’t you?”After not writing the ending he wanted at South Carolina, Spurrier now has a “chance to go out a winner” with the Apollos, who are 6-1. How did the front office do?"There are a lot of criticisms of this deal. Some say the Redskins paid too muchThere were three top safeties signed in the first hours of Free Agency last week:All three players were paid virtually the same Average Per Year. The key difference was in the length of the contracts, which ranged between three and six years.Landon Collins got the largest contract at $84m, and the longest term at 6 years, but he is the youngest player at 25 years of age.To put his age in context, he is a year younger than Josh Doctson. While the APY for the three players is nearly identical, one key measure of the value of a contract is the percentage of cap space it is expected to use.Starting with the 2019 cap of $188.2m, I inflated that number by 6% annually through 2024 to get the final column in the chart above.Looked at this way, Landon Collins is the cheapest contract of the three at ‘just’ 6.4% of expected cap space, while Honey Badger is the costliest https://www.theredskinslockerroom.com/authentic-terry-mclaurin-jersey , at an estimated 7% of expected salary cap. From OverTheCapWhen you consider the cap hits from the Rashad Jones 2017 contract, you can see that the cap hits in the Landon Collins contract(which max out at $17.2m in both ‘21 and ‘23) are not really blazing new ground. The Dolphins plowed the furrow two years ago with these cap hit numbers for Jones:2019 $17.16m2020 $15.6m2021 $14.55mI’m not arguing that the Landon Collins contract is cheap, but I am ready to argue that it’s in the range that top-tier safeties are getting in 2019.Two years ago, when Garcon and Jackson left the team, many fans were suggesting that their market values were around $8-9m per season. Each of them signed for over $11m per season.Last year the free agent safety market was sluggish; this season it was brisk. Three players got paid in a season that redefines the top of the safety market. If you’re interested in more discussion of the Landon Collins contract, you may want to click hereWhat did the Redskins get for their money?I’ll let you guys argue over Collins’ coverage skills and relative value. He is certainly a talented player; he is one of the youngest free agents in the market, and if you’re only objection to the deal is, “Why would Dave Gettleman let him go?” then you need some updated material. The Redskins stabilized a roster position that was virtually empty two weeks ago. They’ve gotten a skilled player, a leader, and a guy who should be able to play out at least 5 years of his contract, giving the Redskins ongoing stability for a unit that has seen very little aside from turbulence since the murder of Sean Taylor. The brilliant part here is in the contract construction, which is a work of art.The ‘Skins have added a young, talented safety at an average of $14m per year in a season where the Alex Smith contract looked like it would cripple their ability to add this kind of long-term talent to the team.Eric Schaffer earned his invitation to the annual Christmas party with his work on this deal.I hear you — fans will be crying the blues about the cap hit when he’s on the books for $17m per year in 2023, but the alternative was to pass on a really good young defensive player with an all-pro and pro-bowl resume who wanted to come and play in Washington.I’m a fan of the way the front office got this done. This guy is a real football player in the early prime of his career, who canprovide the backbone to the defense for half a decade to come.Overall Grade: B+ - the Redskins fixed a lot with this move, but it was expensiveAdrian PetersonPhoto by Wesley Hitt/Getty ImagesEveryone knows what happened last year.I think Redskins fans almost universally wanted to bring AD back this year; partly as a ‘thank you’ for last season, partly as both mentor to and insurance for Derrius Guice, and partly because we remember the Diesel, John Riggins, and what he did at the same age.The question was always gonna be: How much will it cost?We just found out the answer, and it is: “Not much”.The Twitter numbers are 2 years Montez Sweat Jersey , $8m, but when we look at the details provided by OverTheCap, it’s a different story:Yes, if Peterson hits all his incentives, he can earn $8m in 2 years — but if he hits all those incentives, Iimagine we’ll all be thrilled to see him get paid.If he plays the two years without hitting his incentives, he will count for $1.78m this season and $3m next year.If he plays just 2019 with the Redskins, then he will make $2.5m for that single season.Overall Grade: A+ - Bringing back Peterson on a contract with this much flexibility is a huge win and should take pressure off of the coaches, training staff, and Derrius Guice, and provide a touch more flexibility in the draft. This was a great re-signing.Ereck FlowersPhoto by Norm Hall/Getty ImagesWow, I’m conflicted here.Redskins fans, myself included, have been laughing at the Giants for years because they drafted Flowers 9th overall when the Redskins passed on Leonard Williams to take Brandon Scherff at #5.The G-men panicked and overdrafted Flowers because they had to do something about their offensive line.Flowers was so bad that the Giants simply cut him in the middle of the 2018 season. The Jaguars picked him up and he started for them, but — significantly — they didn’t want hm back. The RedskinsReports, primarily from John Keim, have indicated that the Redskins plan to use Flowers at guard, though it’s not yet clear whether he’s expected to start or simply backup. If he’s expected to start at LG, then his $3.2m cap hit seems fine — maybe even a bargain. If he’s expected to be a backup guard (remembering that he’s never played guard before) then he looks expensive. If he’s an all-purpose backup (swing tackle and backup guard) then I would compare him to Ty Nsekhe, who had a $2.9m cap hit last year and say... could be better, could be worse. The big question here isn’t the contract. The question is ability.Flowers has proven he can’t play OT in the NFL; the Redskins need to find out quickly whether he can play Guard.I’m not sure he can.Overall Grade: DThe Redskins have guaranteed $1.5 million to a guy with a low floor Dwayne Haskins Redskins Jersey , and limited upside (at least in the short term), and done it for no real apparent reason other than a seemingly affordable one-year contract. This looks like a one-year band-aid deal, and with guaranteed money, as a band-aid it looks expensive — more expensive than Orlando Scandrick was last year. This contract also looks like it will cost the Redskins a potential 2020 compensatory draft pick.I don’t think signing Flowers will stop the Redskins from drafting a quality interior lineman in the draft, and I question how much they gained with this decision. If he doesn’t make the opening day 53-man roster, the ‘Skins will have flushed $1.5m of salary cap for a bit of low quality pre-draft OL insurance.Zac KerinPhoto by Frederick Breedon/Getty ImagesThis is a RE-signing of an interior lineman whowas one of the many anonymous guys to play some snaps for the Redskins in the second half of last season. The 27-year-old provides depth for this offensive line, something the Redskins desperately need.He played his college football at Toledo, and was selected to the All-MAC team three seasons in a row. He went undrafted in 2014 however, and signed with the Minnesota Vikings in the offseason. st 13 games for Minnesota in two years. He was released by the Vikings prior to the 2017 season. Here’s Kerin’s profile from NFL.com:I actually paid attention to Kerin in the two late-season games he played for Washington last year and was fairly impressed.I had him in mind as a player who should be brought in to compete for a backup G position in training camp this year, and was glad to see the Tweet announcing his signing. At the time of writing, no details for Kerin’s contract have been publicized, but I’d be dead shocked if he was signed on anything other than an absolute vet minimum deal.Overall Grade: C+This is a guy the coaches got a look at last year, so it’s encouraging that they want to bring him back for camp.I doubt he makes the 53, but this is the kind of player that fills out the 90-man preseason roster, has some experience and some potential, and should be given a chance to earn a job.He may be playing in the AAF this time next year, but I think this is an appropriate signing for the Redskins.

ALAMEDA Womens Bo Jackson Jersey , Calif. (AP) — Oakland Raiders left guard Richie Incognito practiced for the first time Wednesday after returning from a two-game suspension and said he’s anxious to play. He’s just as eager to leave his long history of troubles on and off the field in the past.“The suspension’s behind me, all the negative stuff is behind me. Just eyes forward, staying positive,” Incognito said. “Relishing the opportunity, enjoying every day in here because you don’t know how many more you’re going to have. And wanting to play well. Just really want to charge forward and make it right.”It’s a second restart with Oakland for Incognito, who signed with the Raiders in the offseason and spent all training camp working with the starting offense before heading to Arizona to work out while serving the suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. While Incognito was out, the Raiders had mixed success offensively. Oakland was crisp in a season-opening win against Denver but fell flat after a fast start against Kansas City in Week 2.Heading into Sunday’s game in Minnesota, the Raiders are seventh in rushing behind rookie Josh Jacobs and 11th in overall offense.Incognito doesn’t think it will be a big adjustment to slide back into the starting offensive line, considering the time he spent practicing with the rest of the unit in training camp and the preseason.“I played a lot of football in this league so I really don’t anticipate it being an issue,” Incognito said. “I’ve made a lot of starts. It’s pretty much all systems go. I’m just hoping to come back and add some nasty edge to that group, get after some people, put some people on the ground and get Josh going.”Coach Jon Gruden welcomed Incognito back two days after saying the four-time Pro Bowl pick’s return would be a jolt for an offense that is banged up. Jacobs (sore hip) joined right tackle Trent Brown (knee) and wide receivers Tyrell Williams (hip), J.J. Nelson (ankle) and Dwayne Harris (ankle) on the injury report. Brown and Harris were held out of practice Wednesday while the other three were limited.“We didn’t have as much full-speed work today as we normally do because of the injuries but we increased the reps,” Gruden said. “We increased the communication opportunities for Richie to get wired back in. All indications are good.”For Incognito, it’s another attempt at a fresh start after multiple suspensions and legal problems off the field. Unlike when he first signed with the Raiders, there is no looming discipline to deal with. No more working out alone or watching games from his couch, critiquing plays and rewinding the video to get better looks.Incognito hasn’t played in the NFL since a Jan. 7, 2018, playoff game while with Buffalo. The 36-year-old said he is taking nothing for granted.“It’ll be emotional for me and my family Bo Jackson Jersey ,” Incognito said. “It’s been a long trip to get back here. We’re just checking another box.”The Raiders could be getting more help for their offensive line. Right guard Gabe Jackson, who has not practiced since suffering a right knee injury early in training camp, continues to make steady progress and could be cleared soon.GRUDEN UNHAPPY: Because their Oct. 6 home game against the Chicago Bears was moved to London, the Raiders won’t play in Oakland again until Nov. 9. They have a bye week following the game at Wembley Stadium, followed by two more road games. Gruden didn’t sound too happy when asked about it. “Still trying to understand how that happened,” he said. “We just have to showcase our mental toughness and deal with it. It’s uncommon, maybe unprecedented, maybe unrealistic that this should ever happen in pro football. I’m not excited about it but we’ll adapt and do the best we can.”__ Raiders cornerback Lamarcus Joyner wasn’t too eager to watch himself on Hard Knocks with the Rams a few years back." />Skip to main contentclockmenumore-arrownoyesSilver And Black Pride homepageHorizontal - WhiteSilver And Black Pridean Oakland Raiders communityFollow Silver And Black Pride online:Follow Silver And Black Pride on TwitterFollow Silver And Black Pride on FacebookLog in or sign upLog InSign UpSite searchSearchSearchSilver And Black Pride main menuFanpostsFanshotsRaidersOddsAboutMastheadCommunity GuidelinesStubHubMoreAll 321 blogs on Horizontal - WhiteFanposts Fanshots Raiders StoriesScheduleRosterStatsYahoo Raiders NewsYahoo Raiders Team PageYahoo Raiders ReportYahoo Raiders Depth ChartYahoo Raiders TransactionsYahoo Raiders PhotosOdds About Masthead Community Guidelines StubHub ✕Second experience with Hard Knocks much more positive one for Lamarcus JoynerNew,16commentsRaiders cornerback Lamarcus Joyner wasn’t too eager to watch himself on Hard Knocks with the Rams a few years back.PDTShare this storyShare this on FacebookShare this on TwitterShareAll sharing optionsShareAll sharing options for:Second experience with Hard Knocks much more positive one for Lamarcus JoynerTwitterFacebookRedditPocketFlipboardEmailAntonio Brown congratulates Lamarcus Joyner on a pass breakupOakland RaidersYou won’t find many more confident and jovial players than Lamarcus Joyner. He is always smiling, he has complete faith in his abilities as a defensive back, whether it’s at safety or corner and he proves it every day. But it wasn’t always that way.Tonight is the premiere of Hard Knocks. This is the second time Joyner has been on a team that was on the show. The last time wasn’t a great experience for him.“Aw, man, I was in a funk, man, I was in a fog and didn’t really want to watch Hard Knocks,” said Joyner. The ‘funk’ he was in was, of course, caught on camera by the Hard Knocks crew. Joyner was feeling pretty lost as to his role with the team under then coach Jeff Fisher. And it caused him to lose his passion for the game — something that seems unfathomable when you spend any time around Joyner now.In a teaser for the show, Joyner went to Fisher’s office and pours his heart out to Fisher.“I don’t know coach https://www.raiderslockerroom.com/authentic-antonio-brown-jersey , I don’t know where my passion’s gone,” Joyner tells Fisher. “I work hard. I do want to be a starter for this team. What’s going on? If y’all don’t need me, let me know. And just release me and y’all can have y’all’s money back. That’s what I told them. I said I don’t play football for money. I said all these guys they be in the locker room, it’s about money, it’s about girls, it’s about cars. Coach, I love this game.”With that kind of role for Joyner, it’s understandable he didn’t make the show appointment viewing. That was Jeff Fisher’s last year as head coach of the Rams. Not coincidentally it was also Joyner’s last season as a part time starter. Since then he has been a full time starting defensive back — the past two seasons as a starting free safety under new coach Sean McVay and now as a starting nickel corner for the Raiders. He’s just little bit more excited to watch the show this time around.“Oh for sure. This time around,” Joyner said of whether he’s watching the premiere tonight.“of this organization. It’s all been smiles and happiness.”Head coach Jon Gruden put a wet blanket on the party, making sure it was clear his players won’t be watching the show live though.“Maybe some guys will put it on, I don’t even know what it’s called where you can record it and watch it whenever you can, but we are not going to be eating crackerjacks and peanuts and watching it,” said Gruden. “We got meetings, we got the Rams coming in here and I know players I’m sure are excited to see the show and they’ve done a good job, the Hard Knocks people, putting together. I’m not going to say anything further because I’ll be in a meeting.”As for the rest of you, the show will come on HBO at 10pm ET/PST. But if you are on the West Coast and have HBO GO or HBO NOW you can catch it when it airs on the East Coast which is 7pm Pacific.Follow @LeviDamien

Between Thursday and Sunday, I had the tremendous opportunity to take my time to thoughtfully work my way through the museum that is the Professional Football Hall of Fame. The exhibits for the 2019 class were the first part of the Hall I saw. Pat Bowlen’s locker featured a couple of his leather jackets. But the item that caught my eye in Champ Bailey’s locker was, surprisingly, a bottle of Orange Crush. You’ve got to love the nod to the defensive past. With zero members of that historic defense enshrined in Canton, I couldn’t help but think that was why Champ may have included it. Who knows. One of the more unexpected exhibits at the Hall was a showcase of, essentially, the history of football cards. Personally, I was drawn to the oldest cards, ones from the turn of last century Womens Phillip Lindsay Jersey , and the cards of past Broncos players. Photography in this particular area was prohibited, so there isn’t much I could tweet out. However, one card caught my attention. Don’t worry, I found a picture of it online and violated no Hall of Fame rules.Fans come to the Hall of Fame to see their team’s history and players’ artifacts, and I am no different. Peppered throughout the Hall are jerseys, shoes, helmets and other Broncos gear that did not disappoint. When it came to artifacts, it wasn’t just footballs, but the kind of random memorabilia that any fan would proudly display. Then there are the rings...Denver fans may go to the hall to see Broncos history, but it soon becomes clear that the Broncos don’t exist within a vacuum John Elway Jersey White , but are part of a larger organism that is the NFL.Sure, the charismatic players and events, both good and bad, that have driven the team forward through time, but it’s also the historical details that helped shape the team into what we recognize today. Then there’s the historical, formation-of-the-game-type stuff that blows your mind. Things that we take for granted as football fans. Things like the forward pass and the layout of the field.Things like fourth downs. How to “know” it’s a fourth down....and what would the Broncos be without the horse on the side of the helmet? If you’re a football fan, you don’t need to be told that Canton is a special place. As Broncos fans, we are blessed that so much of our history is on display. While there may be, rightfully, a fair amount of hand wringing over just who deserves eternal residency in the bust gallery Womens Royce Freeman Jersey , Denver fans should be very pleased with the love that the Hall of Fame shows the Mile High City. you can find it here. When quarterback Chad Kelly tried out at the Colts’ rookie minicamp, they decided not to sign him. Now they have. The Colts announced today that they signed Kelly and waived defensive tackle Jordan Thompson to make room for Kelly on the roster.A 2017 seventh-round pick of the Broncos, Kelly has only appeared in one regular-season game in his NFL career, and only got in that game long enough to kneel down at the end. He spent his rookie season on injured reserve and was cut during his second season after a trespassing arrest. The nephew of Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly, Chad Kelly began his college career at Clemson but was kicked off the team after a bar fight. He then went to East Mississippi Community College before he finished his college career at Ole Miss. Having needed second chances in both college and the NFL, the Colts may be giving him his last chance.

Quarterback Dwayne Haskins stayed at home in Maryland to watch the first round of the draft rather than travel to Nashville and the decision left him close to his eventual destination.Haskins was selected 15th overall by Washington on Thursday night in a move that sets him up to compete for a starting job right off the bat. It also left him feeling slighted after two other quarterbacks — Kyler Murray and Daniel Jones — were drafted ahead of him.During an ESPN interview after his selection https://www.theredskinslockerroom.com/authentic-dwayne-haskins-jersey , Haskins said those choices would be used as fuel in the future.“I’m more motivated than ever, there’s a bigger chip on my shoulder, the league done messed up,” Haskins said. “I’m right down the street, so we’re going to do it right this time. So it’s crazy.”Head coach Jay Gruden didn’t hand Haskins, who became the first Big Ten quarterback to go in the first round since 1995, the job out of the gate. He will be competing with Case Keenum and Colt McCoy, but he’s the quarterback of the future in Washington and the level of competition means it may not take much for the team to decide the future is now. The final round of mock drafts!"It’s draft day and lying season is in full effect. The Redskins are reportedly not interested in trading for Arizona Cardinals QB Josh Rosen, and people are questioning whether they will even pick Kyler Murray #1 overall. Dan Snyder and Bruce Allen are in charge of the draft and most Redskins fans are terrified of what crazyness can happen tonight. The national media is pushing this narrative while the local reporters are saying the Redskins could trade up, but would prefer not to.Missouri QB Drew Lock, Duke QB Daniel Jones, and Ohio State Dwayne Haskins are still popular options for the Redskins if they don’t trade for Rosen. Haskins has become the clear favorite for the Redskins as his draft day “slide” is already being reported. There is plenty of smoke about a trade up for Haskins Womens Dwayne Haskins Jersey , but no one really knows what the Redskins will do tonight. PITTSBURGH (AP) — Darryl Drake Jerome Bettis Jersey , the Pittsburgh Steelers wide receivers who spent more than 30 years molding players at the position at the college and professional level, has died. He was 62.The team said Drake, who joined the coaching staff in 2018, died early Sunday morning.“Darryl had such an impact on the players he coached and everyone he worked with throughout his entire career,” Steelers president Art Rooney II said. “He was a passionate coach and had a tremendous spirit toward life, his family, his faith and the game of football.”Drake, a native of Louisville, Kentucky, played collegiately at Western Kentucky. He spent one season in the Canadian Football League and participated in a pair of NFL training camps before returning to Western Kentucky to pursue a master’s degree. He went into coaching as a graduate assistant at Western Kentucky in 1983, the beginning of a career that included stops in the college ranks at Georgia, Baylor and Texas.“He had a tremendous impact on those who he coached and those who were fortunate to call him a teammate,” WKU athletic director Todd Stewart said. “WKU Football was better because of our association with him.Drake reached the NFL as a receivers coach in 2004 with the Chicago Bears. He moved on to the same position with the Arizona Cardinals in 2013 before joining Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin’s staff in 2018. Drake’s pupils through the years include Cardinals star Larry Fitzgerald, longtime NFL wide receiver Brandon Marshall and Antonio Brown, who played for Drake in 2018 before being traded to Oakland last spring.“I’m heartbroken for anyone who had the privilege to know Darryl,” Fitzgerald tweeted. “As a man, a coach, a husband, and a father, he was as good as they come.”The Steelers brought in Drake last summer to work with a young receiving corps that included JuJu Smith-Schuster and James Washington.“Darryl was a close friend and had a tremendous impact on my coaching career,” Tomlin said. “He was an amazing husband James Conner Jersey , father and grandfather, and it is difficult to put into words the grief our entire team is going through right now. Darryl loved the game of football and every player he ever coached. We will use our faith to guide us and help his family throughout the difficult time.”Cleveland Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens, who coached alongside Drake in Arizona, called Drake “a really good coach and an even better friend.”“The NFL coaching community lost a really good person that always took a great personal interest in the lives of the players he coached and the staff he worked with,” Kitchens added.Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen, who played under Drake in Chicago, tweeted that Drake “had a huge impact on me as a young player. His players loved him.”Drake is survived by his wife, Sheila, daughters Shanice, Felisha and Marian as well as two grandchildren.Pittsburgh cancelled practices at Saint Vincent College on both Sunday and Monday after announcing Drake’s death. It wasn’t long ago—like, maybe two or three years ago—that the Arizona Cardinals looked like the deepest, most complete team in the entire NFL. They boasted a dangerous, multifaceted offense and a defense to match, one laden with amorphous playmakers at all three levels. Overseeing the whole operation was a charismatic and be-Kangol-ed offensive warlock, owner of two Super Bowl rings. Those Cardinals were a fun team. These Cardinals, who are currently 1-6 and have the best chance of securing the no. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, are not. They are a ghost ship sailing aimlessly toward inevitable doom. All-Pro cornerback Patrick has seen quite enough, and he’d prefer to take his talents elsewhere. This from ESPN’s Adam Schefter (emphasis my own): “Peterson feels as if the situation is deteriorating and continues to reaffirm to others that he desperately wants out, a source said. The Cardinals continue to insist that they won’t trade him, but Peterson keeps asking.”It’s hard to blame the guy. The Cardinals do have a handful of nice players on their roster (Peterson, edge defender Chandler Jones https://www.thesteelerslockerroom.com/authentic-terrell-edmunds-jersey , all-purpose back David Johnson, safety Budda Baker, tight end Ricky Seals-Jones, rookie quarterback Josh Rosen, and, of course, the ageless Larry Fitzgerald) and it wouldn’t be unreasonable to suggest that, armed with the top pick in the draft and mountains of cap space after the wretched Sam Bradford comes off the books this March, they could field a competitive team as early as next season. Possible, too, is that the 2019 version of the Arizona Cardinals look just as hopeless and despondent as the current iteration. Peterson’s likely betting on the latter outcome. The Pittsburgh Steelers, a team nearly bereft of skill in its secondary, should do whatever it takes to acquire Patrick Peterson, even if it means [Hot Take Trigger Alert] trading a first-round draft pick. Forgive the tangent, but hoarding draft picks is so, so dumb. The Browns have been cultivating draft capital for 10 years, and their strategy has just recently bore fruit. Their harvest? A 2-4-1 record. I’ll revise the aforementioned statement: Hoarding draft picks is not dumb in principle, but it’s dumb if you’re doing it at the expense of acquiring proven commodities. Like, what are the odds that either of the two first-round draft picks the Raiders obtained from Chicago in the Khalil Mack trade nets them a player who is even a fraction as skilled as Mack? The chances that your favorite team’s first-round draft pick becomes a five-year starter are a little better than 50/50, and the odds of them making the Pro Bowl are even slimmer. To uncover a player of Khalil Mack’s aptitude—a gameplan-altering, run-defending Womens Terrell Edmunds Jersey , quarterback-sacking, MVP-caliber, generationally-skilled defensive powerhouse—is to win the lottery. To trade that play away for draft capital is asinine, and I’m glad Jon Gruden has enabled the Raiders to reach a nadir they haven’t approached since the Jamarcus Russell era.Anyway, what I guess I’m getting around to asking is if you could’ve traded the pick that ultimately became Artie Burns for Patrick Peterson, would you have pulled the trigger? That question isn’t entirely fair, of course, because everything is crystal clear in retrospect and you can play the “what if?” game with most draft picks for most teams, so I guess I’ll rephrase this, too: Knowing that any first-round draft pick carries a more or less equal chance of yielding a player whose acumen ranges from Artie Burns to Patrick Peterson, would you be in favor of trading that pick—technically speaking at best a nebulous commodity—for a player whose current value is at least equal to that of the player you might find?Draft picks are critical components of the team-building process. This is inarguable. Many of the league’s most formidable squads—the Steelers, the Bengals, the Packers, and the Chiefs, among others—boast cores that are almost entirely homegrown. First-round picks are especially priceless commodities and are thus generally untouchable, which is why the Bears shipping two of them westward to acquire Mack was such a striking development. But the Patriots—to borrow the most glaringly obvious example—have remained a towering colossus for nearly two decades specifically because they have supplemented their draft classes (which, shockingly, are pretty suspect compared to other perennial contenders) by taking fliers on veterans who have fallen out of favor with their former squads. I don’t wanna understate Bill Belichick’s intellect, because I truly and begrudgingly believe that he is the greatest football coach ever, but it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that Josh Gordon, a former 1 Womens James Conner Jersey ,600-yard receiver, is probably more valuable than whatever fifth-rounder from Missouri State A&T University they’d have drafted otherwise. The Rams, currently 7-0 and by far the best team in the NFL, have a similarly-hybridized core, one that’s nearly equal parts draft capital (Todd Gurley, Jared Goff, Aaron Donald, Lamarcus Joyner) and and hand-me-downs (Brandin Cooks, Marcus Peters, Ndamukong Suh, Andrew Whitworth). None of this is to necessarily suggest that the Steelers should fundamentally alter their paradigm. The build-through-the-draft thing has worked well for the Steelers during the Mike Tomlin era, but it’s led to only one Super Bowl victory (one the anti-Tomlin contingent are quick to remind you was won with Cahhr’s players). Perhaps what these Steelers need is a mercenary, and perhaps Patrick Peterson is a core component that help could keep them squarely in the Super Bowl picture this year, next year, and maybe even the year after (Peterson’s signed through 2020, his age-30 season). Peterson to the Steelers admittedly does not seem to be a likely outcome, and to even chart a course toward this eventuality would require the Steelers to first do some creative bookkeeping. They’re already pretty tight against the cap, and that’s without taking Le’Veon Bell’s eventual return into consideration. They could I guess maybe rescind Bell’s tag (dumb, but I don’t know, who knows) or trade Bell to clear some additional space. The Eagles have apparently expressed interest in Bell, so maybe Philadelphia T. J. Watt Jersey White , Pittsburgh, and Arizona could work out some kind of NBA-style deal that sends Bell to the Eagles, Alternatively, if the prorated portion of what Peterson’s new team would own him for the remainder of the 2018 season is less than the current amount of cap space the Steelers currently have, they could probably find a way to make a trade work. Doing so would require an extremely high pick, probably a first-rounder, but whatever. Defensive back is among Pittsburgh’s most obvious and immediate needs, and Peterson’s probably better than anything they would’ve found in the bottom-third of the draft. Furthermore, not only would trading for Peterson make the Steelers better, it would prevent another prominent contender (most notably the Chiefs or Patriots) from bolstering their secondaries and further goosing their Super Bowl odds. So, yeah, I think making a move for Peterson makes sense, practicality and future cap implications be damned. The finances will work themselves out eventually, probably. Or they won’t, whatever. At least the Steelers could have a Super Bowl to show for it.

Fourth round tight end Foster Moreau, who the team selected at 137 overall, has signed his 4-year rookie contract. This according to Adam Caplan. Thus we begin the countdown of picks to sign. Unlike the old days where prospects would negotiate their deals and thus often would take well into the summer and sometimes even hold out into the season. These days the amounts are slotted, so there’s little reason for the picks not to get their deals signed in a timely fashion. Still, they seemed to happen from the bottom up, for the most part. Meaning the day three picks will sign first Antonio Brown Raiders Jersey , and then the day two, and usually the first round picks sign last. Silver & Black PridecastSilver & Black Pridecast Ep 23: Latest Antonio Brown diagnosis, Hard Knocks premiere reaction, Raiders scrimmage with RamsNew,56commentsPDTWednesday, noted sports doctor Dr Chao chimed in once again to give his diagnosis on what’s going on with Antonio Brown’s feet. He had suggested the skin issue Brown was having had to do with excessive moisture Womens Antonio Brown Jersey , but with the latest reports of cryogenic frostbite, it seems to have added the final twist to this mystery.First of all, he said the frostbite theory makes no sense. He’s right, it really doesn’t. Frostbite would have affected the smaller extremities the most — toes for instance — not the thicker skin on his feet. And it wouldn’t occur in the short time (three minutes) spent in the chamber. But the truth is somewhere in there.Dr Chao’s diagnosis is essentially that Brown’s issue had to do with entering a cryogenic machine with damp feet, causing the skin on the bottom of his feet to freeze.Ok, so that’s all fine and good, but what everyone really wants to know right now is TIMETABLE. The best he could give was that Brown will be ready well before the start of the season. What we don’t know if that means he will see any of training camp which has just six practices remaining.I hop on the S&B Pridecast to talk about Brown as well as the Hard Knocks premiere and the Raiders performance in the first scrimmage with the Rams.

Washington wants to get an extension with Brandon Scherff. The offensive guard wants to remain in Washington long term. Thus far, the sides have not come to an agreement. They are talking, though.“We’ve been talking, but I’m not really worried about that,” Scherff said, via JP Finlay of NBCSportsWashington.com. “I’m here for another year, so that’s all I’m worried about right now. Everything will take care of itself.”Scherff has become one of the top players at his position since Washington drafted him with the fifth overall pick in 2016, making two Pro Bowls. The team exercised Scherff’s fifth-year option for $12.525 million for this season, but that’s still less than top guards Zack Martin and Andrew Norwell make per year on long-term deals.Martin has an annual average salary of $14 million and Norwell makes $13.3 million per season. Some team will pay Scherff in that range. The only question is: Who? Scherff hopes it’s Washington.
